Chocolate Chip Toffee Cookies
Recipe by Dragon
I have been making these cookies for years and they are always a hit. For me, this is the perfect chocolate chip cookie. They are crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. These cookies are the most perfect about 20 minutes after they've come from the oven. I hope you enjoy these cookies.
Makes 3 - 4 dozen cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup of butter, soften
1 cup of brown sugar
1/2 cup of white sugar
1 egg
1 egg yolk
2 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoon of strong coffee (liquid)
2 1/4 cup of flour
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
pinch of cinnamon
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup toffee bits
Directions:
1. Beat together butter and sugars until creamy. Add eggs (1 at a time), vanilla and coffee and mix well.
2. Combine in a separate bowl, flour, salt and baking soda. Mix dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Don't over mix!
3. Add chocolate chips and caramel chips.
4. Chill the cookie dough for 1/2 an hour. Preheat oven to 375.
5. Drop the cookies about 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet. Bake in the middle of your oven for 12-14 minutes (depending on your oven) or until the tops start to turn golden.
6. Remove from oven and let sit on the tray for 2 minutes. Transfer cookies to cooling rack.

You made me these once. They were so good I could see through Time.
Great Pictures, too!
Oh man, that's a cookie for adults. I love that...thank you.
Beautiful pictures! I made some recently with chunks of white chocolate and my son is asking for more - I guess these will be next on the list when we bake together!
whoa, i love the sideview of the cookie ;)
20 minutes wait to eat them? Who has 20 minues when cookies are there looking at you? Just kidding! They look so good, look at that chocolate melting inside!
Now that's what I call a cookie! Beautiful snapshot & I love the coffee & pinch of cinnamon. I love these with Ghirardeli dark choc chips...I'm trying to grab that half off your screen!
Your second picture had me drooling all over the keyboard. Love the oozy chocolate bits. Love! Great recipe, thanks :)
I swear we must be thinking the same thing. I just did a CCC post yesterday :) However, yours rules the universe, while mine maybe rule a CVS in the middle of Kansas.
I LOVE toffee. And with chocolate? These sound amazing!
Really really beautiful...Abraço
Seeing that I am a toffee fan, and love cookies these are my kind of cookie comfort food. Wow!

would you look at the melting chocolate in that cookie! Wonderful!
these sound great, particularly the toffee. I have bookmarked it; I think it will make a nice winters treat for my co-workers.
Bring on the milk, this looks so delicious!!!!
What a great photo! From the shot it looks like these cookies at the perfect point of eating!
Toffee in cookies is my favorite! These look perfect!
chocolate and toffee!! how about sending some over? :)
Yum, these are some great looking cookies, toffee is always a welcome to anything addition in my book. There is also no better consistency for a cookie than crunchy outside, chewy inside. I was just having that same discussion with someone else, I can't understand people who like crunchy cookies like the Chips Ahoy in the blue container. The chewy ones in the red container are much better but a combination of the two would be the best.
bunny: Isn't it pretty?
maybelle: My co-workers devoured them. :)
nina: Thanks!
my sweet: Yes, that poor cookie didn't survive the photo shoot. It was delicious!
maria: Thanks!
rajani: Just let me know where to send them. :)
nick: Give these a try and let me know if you like them.
Ooooh, hope you saved me some - they look wonderful!
Those cookies look good! Nice shot of he melted chips.
Stop! Stop! You're killing us here! Chocolate and toffee in one cookie is more than anyone can resist :)
Chocolate chip cookies are already decadent, but with toffee added? Oh my!
The toffee in this recipe is a wonderful touch. Don't tell anyone, but I don't like straight-up chocolate chip cookies - they have to have nuts or something extra to make them appealing. This fits the bill perfectly!
