1. It would be very simple. Some nice hot, soft rolls, maybe a sweet sourdough, a 12 oz filet mignon, medium rare, served Oscar style, a bowl of mashed potatoes infused with some type of parmesan or garlic butter, followed with some type of chocolate lava cake with homemade whipped cream.

2. A nice cozy table in a dark room. Floor to ceiling windows overlooking the dark sky and ocean.

3. Diet Coke with Lime, of course.

4. Nope.

5. I don't know if I'd want anybody there.

6. Doesn't matter, as long as it was prepared to my exact specifications.

It's such a great book, isn't it? I love how so many of the chefs (and you too) go back to the food they grew up eating at home. As much as I enjoy a fancy dinner or a nice restaurant, that style of home cooking is what I love most about food.
